STOP PUPPY MILLS!
iPuppycam does not endorse nor support puppy mills.
There are many abandoned puppies that need a loving home. If you are thinking about getting a puppy, please first consider adopting from a shelter. More than three million cats and dogs are euthanized in shelters each year, so you'll be saving a life. Check with local shelters.
If you've exhausted all your options for adopting and choose to buy from a breeder, do your research carefully. Puppy mills are breeding facilities that produce purebred puppies in large numbers and care more about the profit they make from puppies than the health or welfare of the animals. Usually, a puppy mill will raise dogs in crowded cages and filthy conditions. Constant confinement and inadequate veterinary care and socialization often result in animals who are unhealthy and difficult to socialize. As a result, many are abandoned by their frustrated buyers making the problem of overpopulation even worse.
BEWARE
Puppies are very difficult to resist. Buying one on the internet can be risky. Please be aware when buying a puppy based on a live feed, a picture, or just a phone call. You have no way of seeing the condition of the breeding premise or interacting with the parents. Also breeders who sell animals on the internet are not held to the Animal Welfare Act regulations and therefore are not inspected by the USDA.
If you fall in love with a puppy online, visit the breeder in person and follow the guidelines on how to recognize a responsible breeder. Remember, a responsible breeder has their dog's interests in mind. Responsible breeders provide a loving and healthy environment for not only their puppies, but their parents as well. Never purchase a puppy without seeing them and their parents, where they are raised and how they are treated. Responsible breeders are not just making a sale, but placing their puppies in a good and loving home. A responsible breeder should screen you as much as you screen them to make sure they are going to responsible owners.
Don't forget to spay or neuter your pet. Stop Pet Overpopulation.
