We hate to think of bad things happening to our pets, but in the case of an emergency or even a minor cut, its good to have answers at your fingertips. Pet First Aid is an application for the iPhone that features articles, detailed videos, and step-by-step illustrations to help you care for your dog or cat.

The application has an easy to navigate interface and is organized into 14 main categories:

  • Emergency Situations
  • Heart & Breathing
  • Fundamentals
  • What’s Normal
  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Bites & Stings
  • Bloat & Torsion
  • Burns
  • Eyes, Ears, & Nose
  • Fractures & Sprains
  • Head & Spinal Injuries
  • Heat & Cold Injuries
  • Poisoning
  • Wounds

All the information from these sections can be stored on you iPhone so you can access it even when there is no connection, if you’re out hiking for example, where more injuries are likely to occur.

You can also record each of your pet’s vital medical information, veterinary contact information, vaccination schedules, identifications and notes from your visits. How cool is that??

Pet First Aid was developed by PetTech of Vacaville, a company that specializes in pet first aid in conjunction with Jive Media. You can purchase Pet First Aid from the Apple iPhone App Store for $3.99.
